Fern was mated to Taff on the 3rd of January 2008, she had her puppies on the 3rd March.
She produced 7 puppies but one was dead and one was very very small and didn’t survive. We are left with 5 healthy even sized puppies, 3 dogs and 2 bitches.

Taff is one of the main dogs which Joe uses for work, Joe has also been trialling with Taff in the Dumfries nursery league through the winter, where they came 1st twice and were placed in all the other trials through the season, they finished 2nd in the league, they competed as part of the Dumfries team at the Scottish nursery finals and although their individual run wasn’t in the prize list, the Dumfries team were the victors in the team competition.

Fern is a super work dog, and can easily work large quantities of sheep or cattle, but she doesn’t find working three sheep at a trial to her liking, she is very quick and sharp in her movements, which tends to spook the sheep. Fern has however bred some fantastic pups who have gone on to be excellent both at work and on the trial field.

Fly is a young bitch that Joe thinks very highly of, he is intending to run her in
